Victorian Tree Climbers demonstrate their profession.

Victorian tree Climbers Doug Walker and Scott Gentle are regulars to the Festival.

Each year they thrilled the crowds with their agility to climb a vertical pole.  Tree climbing has many practical applications in the forest from accurate measurement to seed collection and scientific research.

Proper tree care is an investment that can lead to substantial returns.  Well-cared-for trees can add considerable value to your property.  Poorly maintained trees can be a significant liability.  Pruning or removing trees should be done only by those trained and equipped to work safely in trees and also do have formal qualifications to do so.

Arborists are trained professionals with proper accreditation that are knowledgeable and equipped to provide proper tree care.  They are specially trained to provide a variety of services to maintain trees.

Arborists are individuals who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through at least three years of experience and have passed a comprehensive examination.  They are also required to continue their education in order to maintain their certification, ensuring their knowledge is updated on the latest arboricultural techniques.

Doug and Scott not only showcase their skill, but are available to answer questions for any of our locals who wish to gain experience in this activity either as a sport or as a job.
